Grace Ahles

Grace Ahles is an Augustana University graduate (Class of ’23) and works at the Compass Center, a nonprofit that provides counseling and support for survivors of domestic violence. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in both Religion and Sociology. She was a peer tutor for three years at Augie and was the president of the Interfaith Club, Better Together. Grace was also nominated for a Covenant Award in Christian Faith. She is a published poet and playwright.

Grace has been nannying for a decade and loves to work with young children and teens. She has worked with Dr. Bonni Boschee on Read2Soar since 2022 and has previously run summer book clubs for R2S students. She likes to focus on reading and writing and helping children, specifically teens, gain confidence in their ability to achieve.

In her free time, Grace loves to read, explores nature, paint, and spend time with her partner and cat. She is exploring the idea of graduate school and hopes to pursue social work, theology, or medical ethics.
